Hobbies

Outside of engineering and research, I spend time doing what I love — hiking and fishing in the outdoors, restoring cars, and building things.

Fishing outdoors

Fishing & the Outdoors

I enjoy spending time in nature, especially fishing trips where patience and technique matter. I like making my own lures, and testing them on the toughest fish to catch in the mountains. My favorite spots are in the Eastern Sierra. I'm slowly acquiring the equipment I need to start going backpacking, which is something I hope to do a lot of in the future.

Project Car

I really enjoy working on cars, especially older ones. Many years ago I bought a 1974 Datsun 260z which I've been enjoying restoring and driving ever since. I've never been afraid of getting my hands dirty, so having a cool Japanese car to work on and drive around has been a blast.

Building and making projects

Building & Making Things

Funny enough, my work is my hobby and vice versa. Creating ideas, engineering, and building things with my own hands is something that I really enjoy. I've touched on many different projects that include woodworking, metalworking, household trades, electronics... the list goes on. According to my parents, working with my hands has been a knack that I've had since I was little and it's only grown since.
